Seriously people, this is some of the best Greek food I've had in a long time. Probably some of the best Spanikopita I have ever had. (Yes, I have been to Greece.)
Ambiance, very nice. A little outdoor patio to sit at, or drive through take-out. There is no bathroom or hand washing sink- this & the rather boring Pita made me initially want to rate 4, not 5 stars. But hey, you should still go, the food is good, it's a small business, so we grade up- capici?
Salad wise - This is not a Greek salad from Greece, nor is it your traditional Greek salad for America. No iceberg lettuce here, it will be big fresh leaf lettuce with some delicious, soft, feta cheese on top and a couple of pepperocini, olives etc. Although I'm usually a pescetarian I do eat lamb occasionally especially when confronted with what might be a good Gyros. Since they were out of falafel we went for it. Thicker cuts than usual but not too greasy- all in all definitely a good gyros.
The french fries were satisfactory for the connoisseur among us, the hummus was interesting also not your traditional flavoring and Tzadziki very good. Special note: the owner is part of what makes this place a wonderful stop for regulars or tours like warm personable and deeply devoted to your gastronomic enjoyment.
As mentioned, the Pita was not interesting- not the pillowy, soft, fresh pocket stuff, rather the rather flat, dry mass-made disk kind. The only sad moment in the meal.
Note: Again- there is no bathroom here. You will have to go across the street to the dingy, but public Safeway to wash your hands after that delicious meal. -

This place is very underrated and yet it's not. Every time you come in you are number 1. There food is always warm and quality and comes about very quickly. When they're busy you still get great quality. Monir the cook is always amazing! I hope when you stop in La Grande you choose to stop on by to Nikki's.
Fun Fact: Yia Yia Nikkis means Grandma Nikkis! -

Super nice people and amazing food!
My boyfriend and I were passing through and found this gem! We were interested in the whole menu so we went with the sampler plate. All of the meat/falafel was well seasoned and hot! The tortilla soup was delicious (and had the perfect amount of spice). The portions were great for 2+ people. And the price is unbeatable. Our service was fast and extremely friendly. We left, feeling like we made two new friends :) they were even nice to our pup. The outdoor seating is adorable. Can't think of anything that could've been improve upon! Definitely check this place out. -

We were in town to visit some family and stopped to grab a bite on our way back to the hotel. I am so glad we did, first of all the customer service was awesome, they were so welcoming friendly to us. We ordered our meal to go but they do have some outside seating area. The building itself is small so dont plan to eat in with a group. We had a group of 4 and all ordered different meals and they were all equally awesome. I wont go into details, I will just tell you to stop and try it for yourself, but dont forget the Spanakopita.
